Processing Technology

1. Pretreatment before laminating:


First cut the film with a sharp knife. Before using the film, use a sticky roller, blow it with ionized clean air, and wipe it with a dust-free cloth. If the glass absorbs too many stains and the cleaning machine must be used, the glass can be cleaned with ionized water at a temperature greater than 55 ¡æ, and the cleaned glass can be dried and placed at room temperature for use. The room temperature was controlled at

25 ¡æ and the relative humidity was 30%.



2.  Glass Lamination:


The SGP material must be bonded directly to the tin side of the glass. For structures in contact with the glass where the tin side cannot be used, such as multilayer laminated glass or non-float glass, a bonding promoter is required on the non-tin side. We offer two formulations of adhesion promoters.

3. Rolling:


The glass sandwiched by SGP film does not need to be pre-pressed by the first pair of rollers, but only by the second pair of rollers behind the main heating furnace. The gap between the second pair of rollers may be 2~3mm less than the nominal thickness of the glass (the pressure of the rollers may be about 5.17 bar), and the surface temperature of the glass after rolling shall be 63 ¡À 8 ¡æ. The roller speed can be adjusted according to the surface temperature of the glass and the edge sealing condition after the glass is pre-pressed. After rolling, the width of the sealing edge (transparent area along the four sides) shall be at least 2cm.


4. Vacuuming:


For laminated glass with more than two layers of SGP films stacked together and sandwiched in the middle of the glass, laminated glass with multi-layer structure, hot bending or bending toughened laminated glass, toughened laminated glass with large area, etc., the vacuum bag process is suitable. Especially for multi-layer glass structure with more than three layers of glass and two layers of films, the rolling and pre-pressing process shall not be carried out as far as possible, and the vacuum bag process shall be adopted.

5. Autoclave process:


It is a key process for laminated glass to enter the autoclave. Controlling the temperature and pressure of the autoclave is an important factor for the production of high-quality SGP laminated glass.

1. The distance between the laminated glass in the autoclave and the rack should not be too small, at least about 20mm. The local pressure on the glass shall be reduced as much as possible. The uneven stress will cause the uneven thickness of the SGP film during the heating process, resulting in optical distortion. The inclination angle of the glass on the rack shall not exceed 10¡ã

2. Controlling the pressure in the autoclave to be between 1.2 and 1.4Mpa all the time, heating the inside of the autoclave at a speed of increasing 1 ¡æ/min until the surface temperature of the glass reaches between 50 and 60 ¡æ, keeping the temperature for 20 to 30 minutes, and then continuously heating at a speed of increasing 1.5¡æ/min until the surface temperature of the glass reaches between 130 and 135 ¡æ, wherein the whole heating process lasts for about 90 to 120 minutes; The pressure of 1.2-1.4Mpa and the temperature in the kettle of 130-140 ¡æ are maintained for 120 minutes, the thickness of the adhesive film or the number of synthetic layers is increased, and the heat preservation time can be properly prolonged.

3. The cooling rate of the autoclave shall not be less than 3.3 ¡æ/min. The faster the cooling rate is, the smaller the haze is. Each manufacturer determines the whole cooling time according to its own autoclave. When the surface temperature of the glass in the autoclave is cooled to 55 ¡æ, release the pressure and exhaust for 20 to 30 minutes, and then take it out of the autoclave. Early pressure relief will lead to bubbles.



Suggestion:

                                               is more resistant to high temperature and easy to process. When processing thin plate glass below 8mm, the temperature of the main heating furnace can be 250~300 ¡æ and the rolling speed can be 4~5m/min. When processing thick plate glass above 10mm, the rolling speed can be reduced according to the situation.

The edge of the glass is wrapped with a breathable wrapping strip and fixed with a high-temperature adhesive tape to prevent falling off. O as to facilitate the normal discharge of air from the edge of the glass. Then put the laminated glass into a high temperature resistant vacuum bag with air nozzles, and install two air nozzles for glass larger than 3 square meters.

Before loading into the autoclave, cold pre-pumping shall be carried out for more than 7 minutes, and the vacuum pressure shall be -0.08 Mpa.




Note:

If the cooling rate of autoclave is less than 3.3 ¡æ/min, the cooling time can be extended, but the pressure can be released and the air can be exhausted only when the surface temperature of the glass in the autoclave is cooled to 55 ¡æ. The pressure release and exhaust time can not be too short, otherwise bubbles will be generated.
